On April 14th, Major General Andrea ARGIERI (Italian Air Force), Head of the Directorate for Strategy and International Cooperation at the Italian Defence General Staff, visited the NATO Security Force Assistance Centre of Excellence (NATO SFA COE) in Rome.

During the visit, the Centre presented its mission, structure, and primary Lines of Effort, highlighting its contribution to the NATO transformation process through the development of concepts, doctrine, education, and training in the field of Security Force Assistance (SFA).

The meeting emphasized the strong cooperation between the NATO SFA COE and the Italian Defence General Staff, underlining the importance of maintaining close coordination to advance shared objectives within the Alliance framework.

Major General ARGIERI and the Director of the NATO SFA COE exchanged views on ongoing projects and future cooperation opportunities, with particular focus on Capacity Building training activities.

The visit reaffirmed a mutual commitment to enhancing collaboration in support of the Alliance’s strategic goals and further developing SFA capabilities that contribute to stability and resilience in the international security environment.

At the end of the visit, the General warmly congratulated the Centre on the high profile of its projects and the professionalism of its activities.
