The platform aims to progressively expand networks, facilitate connections and foster the sharing of best practices, information and ideas. It will also aid the development of joint research projects, workshops, exercises and the enhancement of internship programmes to support the Alliance and enrich each other.

The Academic Hub of Knowledge will connect civilian and military stakeholders, as well as regional organizations and institutions to promote collaborations, focusing on topics of common interest, including the main challenges in crisis areas and post conflict scenarios, as well as human security, cultural mediation, interreligious dialogue, the protection of civilians and gender perspective issues. This will improve the understanding of the key elements for enhancing strategic assistance and partnership through capability development and capacity building.

The platform will also offer several opportunities for students to join our internship program or collaborate remotely in specific projects. This will enable them to acquire valuable NATO-related skills, support editorial projects, participate in the Centre’s annual training offers, interact with high profile experts, consolidate academic knowledge, and learn about Security Force Assistance and much more.

Furthermore, the Academic Hub of Knowledge is also aimed to promote initiatives such as double degrees among universities, share data base and tools in the fields of security and cooperation, deliver high quality and insightful analysis, and advance an interdisciplinary approach to achieve the common goal of increasing capabilities and skills.

Additionally, the platform will serve as a hub for sharing links to Conferences, Events, Workshops organized by the Community members, further strengthening fruitful and mutual collaboration.
