NATO SFA COE and the NATO HQ International Staff signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

 

The NATO SFA COE and the Defence Institution and Capacity Building (DICB) Directorate of NATO HQ  International Staff signed today, 10th of September 2019, a Memorandum of Cooperation in order to enhance collaboration in their respective fields of work, re-affirming the importance of a broader approach, more integrated and comprehensive, in enhancing Alliance capacity to support Defence Institution and Capacity Building and Security Force Assistance activities.

The purpose of this Memorandum is to lay the foundation for a deeper collaboration and a greater synergy between the two entities, creating a direct and more effective link between the NATO HQ and the NATO Security Force Assistance Centre of Excellences.

This agreement allows to reach the main common objectives of the participants in line with their own mission, to provide advice, guidance in support to NATO Headquarters and all the NATO Community with the aim of improving the effectiveness of the Alliance in conflict and post-conflict scenarios.

Projecting Stability agenda and the understanding of the causes of instability, NATO Human Capital enhancing in advising activities in Support of NATO Partners, Training and exchanging Subject Matter Experts for research and relevant activities are the main areas of cooperation for the common interest and the sharing outputs.

Signing this agreement, the participants recognize the importance of the mutual benefit in sharing expertise, knowledge and experience, thus strengthening the results of common projects, researches and activities.
